Can Lifestyle Help Beard Growth?

What aspects of your lifestyle may influence your beard growth?

Following on from our earlier article on diet and beard growth (if you missed it click here to read), today we look at lifestyle.

Facial hair growth is largely driven by testosterone, and there are some lifestyle habits you can get into that help boost your testosterone production.

Exercise

It promotes blood flow and helps stimulate your hair follicles.

Strength training and weightlifting can temporarily boost your testosterone levels.

Keeping your BMI (body mass index) in an acceptable range can also help, as obesity can lower your testosterone.

Sleep

Testosterone is released during sleep, so not getting enough rest or having fragmented sleep can interfere with this process.

Washing & Moisturising

Keeping your beard and skin clean and in good condition also helps.

Using a beard brush can help exfoliate your face, and remove the dead skin cells and debris from around your hair follicles.

Exfoliating and brushing can also help prevent ingrown hairs.

Use Beard Oil
