3 Styling Tips For Your Beard

You’re growing out your beard, and it’s starting to come in nicely.

Now what?

Or, you could style it!

In today’s post we look at 3 tips to get your scruff looking the goods.

1. Soften Your Beard Hair

This is a great starting point.

No matter what shape you choose for your beard, it’s easier to manage when your beard hair is soft and healthy.

Beard oil and/or beard balm will help condition your beard hair and the skin underneath, making your beard less wiry and easier to manage.

2. Choose An Appropriate Style

If you find some areas of patchy or slow growth as your beard is coming in, you may need to work around these.

Sometimes a bit of patience and a good grooming routine is all that’s needed for these areas to fill in (more here: LINK).

If you don’t want to wait, or are convinced your genetics are to blame, simply choose a style such as a chin strap or goatee.

Sticking with a short beard may work for you too.

3. Trim Your Neckline

Do it sooner rather than later. Trust me, it looks so much better!

Decide where you want your neckline to be and get rid of everything below it.

I left this way too long, and everything looked way better the minute I did this.
